Elk View Lodge is a fabulous group venue. Situated in its own 10-acres within a managed woodland - yet bordering the City of Fernie, the Lodge is an excellent base for a range of activities. Few buildings in the area have over 10,500 sq ft of interior floor area with 6,000 of it being amenity space, not to mention an additional 2,000 sq ft of decks and balconies.
The Lodge has unrivalled views of the spectacular Lizard Range, ample off-street parking and direct access to the local trails network.
Elk View Lodge has been operating as a retreat base since 2003, and has hosted a range of groups in that time.
We have had Corporate retreats, church retreats, scrapbooking and quilting retreats, wellness retreats, fishing groups, snowmobile groups, family vacations, anniversaries and special occasion retreats, training seminars, and artist retreats.
The largest seated dinner was for 110 guests at round tables, the largest accommodated on site was a family group of 33 (we have since reduced the number of pillows to 30). We are quite happy and well provisioned to dine up to 100; over that number means that a table or two will not have full view of the head table.
The 6 large bedrooms are perfect for large family groups and three of the bedrooms have lofts for added privacy.
We are so fortunate to have numerous world-class local amenities available in Fernie, but many of our guests find the Lodge`s space and seclusion sufficient for their needs and simply enjoy the tranquility, our on-site spa, tinker in the vast kitchen, or simply read a good book.
